The Canada Water masterplan is one of the UK's most sustainable redevelopment projects and will create a new town centre for central London. Covering 53 acres, the scheme will deliver circa 2 million sq ft of workspace, up to 1 million sq ft of retail, leisure and entertainment space as well as between 2,000 and 4,000 new homes alongside a range of new public facilities.
To support British Land鈥檚 planning and analysis for Canada Water, G&T Life Cycle Consultancy, alongside our Cost Consultancy team, provided a range of analysis and support to the project.聽聽
- Life Cycle Cost Analysis to achieve BREEAM Man 02 Credits for the non-residential elements including Printworks, Plot F, Plot L, Plot A1 and Plot G.01.
- Life Cycle Cost Analysis to achieve HQM Credits for the residential elements for Plot G.01.
- Life Cycle Assessment (Carbon Analysis) to achieve BREEAM Mat 01 Credits for Printworks.
Life Cycle Costing had the benefits of:
- Achievement of 4 credits under BREEAM Man02 for each BREEAM scheme
- Achievement of 12 credits under the Home Quality Mark, Category 6.3
- Life cycle costing analysis at early design stage
- Option appraisals to inform design development and reduce life cycle costs
