Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games - Hampden Campus
Hampden Park, Glasgow was the venue for the Athletics Track & Field competitions and the Closing Ceremony for the 2014 Commonwealth Games. The adjacent site, at Lesser Hampden, was used to create a warm up track and associated facilities. These were constructed for the duration of the Games and were then removed and the football pitch reinstated.
G&T was appointed by the Organising Committee of Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games (as cost managers) to carry out a feasibility study at the Lesser Hampden site to determine the position of the warm-up track and associated facilities and to assess the impact on the existing use for the site, structures and services at the site, the proposed use and legacy mode for after the Games.
G&T was also appointed by the Organising Committee on the refurbishment of the North Stand and event overlay works to the field of play.
