OFD Thanckes Loading Facility
The project renews the Navy's fuel loading and offloading facility at HMNB Devonport and comprises a new 275m approach jetty in the River Tamar with 100m jetty head.
The structure is equipped with new loading arms for the transfer of fuel and all delivery pipework, valve work etc. The scheme also incorporates a new firefighting system to both the jetty and the adjacent fuel storage farm. Once completed, the existing jetty will be demolished.
