The Halo, Stratford
The Halo is a landmark development at the gateway to the Olympic Park in the heart of Stratford. This mixed-tenure development comprises one, two and three bedroom apartments for private rental, shared ownership and affordable rental accommodation, together with 65 extra care units, 27 subsidised workspace/studio units and shell and core retail space.
A total of 706 homes were provided in seven residential blocks including one of 43 storeys which has stunning views over the London skyline and overlooks the London 2012 Olympic Stadium and park. The scheme also provides a mix of flexible commercial space, a landscaped courtyard, new river walk and pocket park as well as three sky gardens in the tower.
The scheme won "Development of the Year (large schemes)" at the UK Housing Awards in April 2013.
