7 Millbank

7 Millbank is a commercial office development in the heart of Westminster located on the corner of Dean Stanley Street and Millbank, with the rear elevation facing Smith Square. The building is not Listed but is a building of merit being located in the Smith Square conservation area and very close to the Palace of Westminster.

The existing nine-storey stone clad building was originally constructed as the headquarters for British American Tobacco between 1913 and 1915 and is currently being used as part of the parliamentary estate. The building currently provides circa 125,703 sq ft NIA.

The scheme will see the careful dismantling of the existing stone facades, demolition of the existing structure and rebuild to provide eight floors of commercial office, with a central atrium to bring light to the floor plates with terrace and roof amenity space taking advantage of the stunning views over London, and in particular the Palace of Westminster and the River Thames.

The client brief has sustainability at its core with a 100 year design life and net zero carbon aspirations.
