Edinburgh Printmakers

Edinburgh Printmakers has relocated to Castle Mills, a Category C Listed former rubber mill in Edinburgh. The conservation and re-use of this historic building provides the arts charity with a 2,194m² open access printmaking centre for established artists and beginners with an interest in print. It is one of the largest facilities of its kind in Europe.

Page\Park designed the project which preserves the building fabric to showcase exposed brick walls and an expansive triple height workspace whilst a new extension to the rear provides a central courtyard to promote user interaction.

At the heart of the centre is a print studio, with traditional and digital processes, a print archive and learning space. In addition it has two public art galleries, a café, shop, artist accommodation as well as meeting, office and studio space for creative companies.
