Seaham Watersports Facility

Seaham Watersports Facility

Since opening its doors in 2017, Seaham Watersports Facility has been hugely successful in attracting visitors to the small County Durham town.

The award-winning centre, located at Seaham Harbour Marina, was a new build project for Durham County Council comprising a changing facility, a kayak store and office space. The centre offers courses in kayaking, paddle-boarding, canoeing and other watersports.

The project was paid for by a grant from the Coastal Communities Fund and was match-funded by Durham County Council, Seaham Harbour Community Interest Company and Sport England.
