Spyscape is an interactive museum experience designed by Adjaye Associates, which combines entertainment and education on the subject of espionage and intelligence.

With a total area of c.60,000 sq ft split over three levels - the core exhibition space contains both the permanent experience and content zones as well as temporary exhibition space.

The core experience entrance starts at ground level inside a large audio-visual moving room, which is a key architectural element of the project. The room moves slowly to the main experience level while its 40 occupants are briefed С»ÆѼÊÓƵ their forthcoming missions.

This platform employs a spiral-lift mechanism with the pit situated on the ground floor slab so as not to cut into it. This vertical transportation component is the first of its kind in New York City and required significant co-ordination with the NYC elevator division and Department of Buildings to alleviate any safety concerns they had.
