Westgate Centre

The 74,322m² retail-led mixed-use development in the heart of Oxford City Centre has a 13,000m² flagship John Lewis as its anchor department store, 70 new shops, cafés and a five screen cinema set within a mixture of covered streets, arcades and squares.

The scheme also delivers 59 waterfront homes, a two level basement car park with 1,000 spaces and a large service yard. Bespoke logistics are required to facilitate working in the existing centre with units still trading until vacant possession is achieved.

The city centre location also necessitates significant highway management and complex phasing of temporary highway works to enable the bus routes to be maintained throughout construction due to demolition of existing buildings, major service diversions and the construction of the new basement car park.
