G&T hosted the ULI Mentorship Programme’s Summer BBQ
G&T was proud to host the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Mentorship Programme’s annual summer BBQ last month at our London HQ.
The ULI UK Mentorship Programme’s annual Summer BBQ offered mentors and mentees the chance to network with others on the mentorship programme in an informal setting. G&T’s Mo O’Connell gave the welcome speech followed by Vanessa Hale, Director of BNP Paribas and ULI UK Chair. Having started as a mentee herself, Vanessa spoke СѼƵ the benefits of mentoring and advised mentees on how to make the most of the programme.
“I am pleased to say 2019 is the largest cohort in the history of the UK programme, something we are very proud of and are working to increase numbers yet again for 2020”Mo O’Connell, G&T Project Surveyor and ULI Young Leader.
The programme, led this year by G&T’s Mo O’Connell, is a group-mentoring scheme that provides members of the ULI’s Young Leaders initiative the opportunity to discuss relevant real estate issues and their professional development with their peers and an established member of ULI.
Senior level executives in the real estate industry and active members of ULI act as mentors and are assigned groups of three to four mentees to meet with quarterly. The role of the mentor is to guide mentees to develop their network and industry knowledge whilst helping them work through any challenges they may be facing in their career.
“My mentor was brilliant. I have had opportunities that I could have only achieved through the help of the ULI Mentoring Programme”ULI Mentorship Programme member
The ULI’s Young Leaders programme is open to all real estate professionals under the age of 35 and provides professionals in the early stages of their career with a unique forum to network with their peers, gain exposure to senior industry professionals and continue their professional education and development.
