Ayr Leisure Centre
A new community leisure centre with swimming pools, activity halls, fitness suite, caf茅 and public garden is set to transform Ayr town centre. The development will incorporate the Category B Listed Hourstons building and ageing Arran Mall and will reconnect local residents and visitors with the high street.
The new project aspires to better meet the needs of the local community than the town's existing leisure offering at The Citadel, which South Ayrshire Council will address by undertaking extensive widespread public consultations.
Ayr Leisure Centre marks another major community project in G&T's ongoing relationship with Hub South West Scotland on behalf of South Ayrshire Council. Recent developments include Ayr Academy, Ayr Grammar, Marr College, Maybole Community Campus and Queen Margaret Academy.
